Caution Kids! There Was No P.D.Q. Bach ... and P.D.Q. Bach Is Not the 21st Son of Composer Johann Sebastian Bach

P.D.Q. Bach. Kids, I'm serious. This subject is a "minefield." A musician – a scientist and professor – simply invented a twenty-first Bach son. He then composed music (... of course the professor did) and P.D.Q. has his own biography, of course. Some find this very funny, some are confused, others find it .... just dumb.

My job here – I think – is to point this out to you and recommend you to "sail around this trap". If you have read and learned "tons" about Johann Sebastian Bach, if you are also interested in Bach genealogy and finally, if you are "in" deep enough in the subject, then – not before – then you can "read" more about P.D.Q. Bach.

I find the whole "Bach universe" so confusing that it doesn't need unnecessary baloney as well. So, if you hear anything on the subject of P.D.Q. Bach, pay attention: Keep your hands off it. Do not google it, please.
